I can't believe it's January already, and 2013 on top of it. So much has been going on in our lives and I realized how much time I've missed. Since I really don't have the time to recap each event with a post of its own, I'll just do one long post and try to catch up:)
Sorry there are no pictures, our computer crashed and the laptop doesn't let us upload pictures. Someday I'll have pictures to go with this post:)
We left off in November, which started with Ryan and Aunt Jenn's birthday's. To be honest, I don't remember much of what we did since it was so long ago. We did a joint cake and Leah helped to blow out the candles. Fun times:)
Also in November was Thanksgiving-obviously:) We went up to Aunt Elizabeth's house like always. We love going there as the food is always amazing we love nothing more than family time. This year we decided to try something different and do some Christmas-y things. We had lot's of plans, but most of them never came to fruition. One thing that did was decorating the Christmas tree. Joe, Dan and I were very into it, and so were Leah and Evan:)
The next day, Leah got a visit from her new elf-from the Elf on the Shelf. We'd been having some issues with Leah staying in her bed at night and actually going to sleep, so we thought we'd try the Elf. The Elf is Santa's little helper who comes to your house and watches the kids during the day. They can't touch him and he doesn't talk or move. At night, he goes to the North Pole and tells Santa what the kids want for Christmas, if they listen and if they don't. He even can see what happens while the kids are at school. Then he comes back in the morning and sometimes he gets into trouble:) I've found so many things on Pinterest for the little Elf to do so I was super excited to try it out. Jenn took Leah for the night on Thanksgiving and I set up the breakfast and the intro to the Elf. Leah loved him! She named him Blue, of course:)
I had planned to document all of the crazy things Blue did, but we had an incident at the end of November that would change the way we lived for the next 8 weeks, change the holidays, Leah birthday and would help us find the patience we had maybe been missing recently............
