Valentine's Day is so special for our family:) Even though it's our anniversary, I found something super cute on Pinterest that talked about celebrating your anniversary with your kids and celebrating it more as a family birthday since thats the day you became a family. Super cute!
So Ryan and I started Valentine's Day by giving Leah some flowers and, of course, a Hello Kitty balloon!
Probably should NOT have had her standing on the counter, however I was close and could've caught her if she fell.
Then I decided to make her an adorable pink and red tutu which I again found on Pinterest
Yes, with the Hello Kitty balloon.
For dinner, I was so not cooking, so we went to Papa Murphy's and got their wonderful heart shaped pizza
And a heart shaped cake-I used pound cake because pound cake is super yummy
And then we put 3 candles on the cake because it's our 3rd anniversay and we let Leah blow them out of course:)
Grandma and Grandpa Siebert also decided to get Leah a Valentine's gift and told Ryan to pick something out a Toys R Us. And this is what he chose:
Yes, that's the paino from BIG. Or as Leah called it-a big pino pino. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa-she loves it!
Then, just for Ry and myself, I made us some chocolate fondue using a little fondue pot that my aunt got us for our first anniversary. I used strawberries, pineapple, some pound cake from our heart shaped cake and marshmellows. Ry was a little bummed I only had small marshmellows-sorry babe, next year:)
We had a great family birthday and this is hopefully one tradition that continues in our house. Happy Valentine's Day everybody :)

Leah is potty trained:)
Warning: Posts about Poop:)
The past few weeks have been huge for us! Last Wednesday, after having a temp of 103.6, we took Leah to the Dr to find out she had pnemonia. Poor girl! She had a cough, runny nose and, of course, a temp. After we got home from the Dr Leah climbed over the gate into the bathroom and went pee in the potty. I had been introducing Leah to the potty for over a year and have tried 3 or 4 times to really push it and she was just having none of it. So I pretty much gave up figuring I'd wait until she was 28 months or so. But apparently, Leah's ready...NOW!
I was shocked by her wanting to use the potty on her own that day, and was even more shocked when she used the potty for the rest of the day. Alright Leah! She would go randomly over the next few days, then this week it just sort of clicked for her. She has been using the potty for pee all week-no accidents and no diapers-YEAH! Then, yesterday, she shouted "Mommy, Poop!" Obviously my response was "Where?" because she has been pooping in the daiper then either dropping in the floor-awesome-or throwing it into the garbage. She said "Potty" and I ran into the bathroom to find that she had again climbed over the gate and had indeed pooped in the potty! That's my big girl! She continued over the next 20 minutes or so to go play, then run in the bathroom, poop a little on the potty and then go on her little way. So, I guess, she is now fully potty trained:)
Diapers and pull ups will still be work on car rides and during nap and at night for a while, but this is such a huge step for my little monkey. I can't believe she pretty much did it on her own. Such a big girl being potty trained at 25 months :)
